No Time for Piewhacket is a delightful and engaging story that takes young readers on a fanciful journey, while subtly building the reader's vocabulary, work ethics and social values.

Story is presented through the eyes of Small Dog Tweeters. She makes a wish for a four-legged, furry friend. The Genie of the Cove grants Tweeter's wish, but instead of a dog showing up, a cat named Piewhacket arrives. Tweeters comes to regret her wish. She enlists a motley crew of characters to solve her feline dilemma.

While the story was specifically written for struggling middle school children, the story can be read to younger children. Chapters are intentionally kept short to hold the child's attention. Quick-reference vocabulary definitions appear at the bottom of each page in the printed version. (The eBook version they appear at the beginning.)
